I ended up choosing a magazine cover as i feel i will end up with a better finished result. I figured I will be able to use my knowledge of conventions of typical magazines and produce a magazine that has 'something of its own' and stands out from the rest.
Target audience:
.Both girls and boys
.Age, 16 years +
.I have yet to establish the genre of music i want to target, but i will continue to research until i find my prefered type of music.

The magazine does not have to focus on one strictly defined genre - it can cover a range of musical categories, the whole lot even! Remember, musicians are artists and artists want freedom to experiment, create and innovate. They don't like being 'boxed in!'
ReplyDeleteConsider what type of music you like - that would make more sense. Try and get across how much you love the music you like to your audience.
Return to the ideas about target audience and how a certain audience identifies with lifestyle, how certain age groups go for a certain type of music, how gender effects the music an audience listens to, and how race and social class also impacts.
Go through a sample of some music magazine front covers. How do they send out signals to the kind of audience they are seeking to attract?
