Double page spread

As part of my project i have been asked to create a double page spread of some sort.
Whilst researching, i found that alot of people i asked enjoyed reading the interviews in the center of the magazine, therfore i decidied to use that idea for my magazine.
I analysed a cope of a magazine double page spread, but unfortunatly forgot to save it. Becuase of this i will quickly summerise my thoughts on the codes and conventions used in a double page spread and what i am considering using for my own piece.

In the double page spread above it shares the same conventions as many others, having a bold title that consists of the celbrityies name, in this case 'Will he...' I like the use of a question in the title, because it encourages the reader to want to read on.
Pictures are a main convention of a double page spread, they are both catchy to the eye and make the length of the text less daunting.
I like the way the journalist has bolded some of the quotes said throughout the interview, and has changed the format in order to create a more interesting piece.
I like the use of questions and answers throughout the interview, instead of one copmplete bloc of writing. I feel this helps the reader become more involved in what they are reading.

The code that the image used on this double page spread emphasises that the male in the center is the main person in the band, this is dont my his image not being faded and standing in a solidarity way with the other behind him.
It also helps to enhance his level of authority to the readers eye.
Again the blank background seems to be a convention for most magazines, bringing out the information on the page and creating extreeme contrasts.

When creating my double page spread i am going to use many of the same conventions such as;
Questions and answers
Different colour/style fonts
Edited quotes
Change in format to create an interesting image
Pictures to help interest the reader.
