Music Genre

I have decided to focus on the genre of Indie Rock as i feel this genre of music is becoming increasingly popular in society today, and therefore would appeal to a wider audience.

In order to create a magazine that reaches out to the audience i wish for it to reach, i shall do some simple research on the genre i have decided to follow in hope that this will help influence me to use certain conventions and portray certain codes. I have chosen to follow the 'indie' genre therefore will need to research into other Indie artists/bands and Indie images.

These are some Indie artists/bands i found when i researched Indie Rock music, this must mena that these selected few are extreemly successful.
